When I Realized I Wasn't Broken—Just Unseen

I spent years believing I was "too much"—too emotional, too intense, too complicated. I thought I needed to shrink myself to be lovable.

Until one day, I met someone who listened—not just to my words, but to the silence between them. They didn’t flinch at my sadness or recoil from my depth. They didn’t offer empty advice or tell me to “cheer up.” They simply stayed.

That’s when it hit me: I was never broken. I was just unseen.

Sometimes, we mistake being unseen for being unworthy. But visibility isn’t about being loud—it’s about being in the right company.

I still carry my intensity. I still feel deeply. And now, I see that as a gift, not a burden.

The right people won’t ask you to be less. They’ll sit beside your complexity and call it beautiful.
